SPF Pig House (Clean Pig House)
Newborn piglets born by cesarean section are transported in a bacteria-free container from the laboratory. Feeding and mooring of our clean-grade Microminipigs are conducted within this dedicated isolation facility under microbiology control until their designated shipment dates.
Under appropriate guidance and management of veterinarians, various treatments such as delivery by cesarean section and thymectomy of newborn piglets are performed in the laboratory. The adjacent room within the facility also conforms to certified quarantine facility conditions set out by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in Japan and caters to potential customer needs for exportation to overseas.
